Tour offers glimpse of Federal Way High, as district awaits voter funding

Federal Way residents who aren’t familiar with Federal Way High School can take a public tour of the building today at 6:30 p.m.

The tour is being set up to give residents a better understanding of the school, as the district has two levies up for vote on Feb. 14, which will give local taxpayers the opportunity to rebuild the school.

“Federal Way High School may have a remodeled exterior, but behind that façade the school needs more than a makeover,” according to the district. “As the school, now more than 80 years old, continues to deteriorate, it's becoming harder to support a quality education for the students who attend there.”

Federal Way High School is located at 30611-16th Avenue S., Federal Way, WA.  Visitors can park on the west side of the building between Memorial Field and the school, in the area marked "event parking".  Look for the entrance marked "Event Entrance."   Tours groups will meet at the counter inside the Event Entrance. On Feb. 6, parking may also be available near the main entrance that faces Pacific Highway South.
